Go to a Fair
The 5th Annual La Habra Spring Citrus Fair takes place on 321 E. La Habra Boulevard from April 11 through 13. There’s no reason not to go; the event is free! Thrill seekers will have 30 rides to choose from. There will also be plenty of live entertainment, fun and quirky exhibits, delectable food stands, hands on activities, and 60 vendors selling a wide variety of merchandise and services. Bring your friends or your family. The abundance of activities will keep you guys occupied for hours on end.
Participate in a Bayside Scavenger Hunt
There’s no better way to get to know a city than to participate in a scavenger hunt. The City Race Urban Adventure Hunt in Newport Beach will take place on April 5 from 10:00 am through 1:30 pm. Bring a friend or three and team up to solve puzzles, crack codes, and perform other fun and interesting tasks as you race against other teams around Balboa Island, the Pavilion, the Pier, the Fun Zone, and other beachside sites. Admission is $40 per person. There will be prizes, but don’t forget that it’s all about the experience itself rather than the end results!
Expand Your Mind
The theme of April’s OC Fair will be “Imaginology.” Families will be able to explore the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math in fun ways through contests, workshops, exhibits, hands-on activities, and more. And of course, there will be other county fair staples, including a petting zoo, livestock competitions, inflatable rides, and much, much more. The fair will take place from April 11 through 13 at 88 Fair Drive in Costa Mesa. Admission is free! However, you’ll want to bring $7 for parking.
…And Your Palate!
The California Wine Festival will take place in the idyllic coastal town of Dana Point from April 25 through 26. Attendees will be able to sample vintage, specialty wines with complex and exciting flavors at this sophisticated gathering. The region’s best chefs and specialty food purveyors will also be in attendance so guests can complement their wines with delectable eats. Ticket prices range from $49 – $149.
